However, these limits are not always equal and you should be aware of the differences between roller chains.

Most roller chains have standard sizes printed on the side panels. This is usually “40” or “C2080H”, but can also be the letter “B”. If the chain is old, it will need to be cleaned to see its size. You can find the size on the standard roller chain size chart, but not everyone is marked.
